Jacob Donnelly (AKA JACOBWORLD) provides their first release under their full name to the GRIT community techno label,
taking a more hypnotic approach to this EP. Contrary to their other releases on labels like OOM (NL),
Format Records (NL), Bomphcast (AU) and Oecus (DE), the composition in these sounds is all based around polyrhythms and basic FM synthesis to create a space-like soundscape. The driving inspiration behind this EP stems from their fascination for boundary pushing and off-kilter rhythms,
which place more emphasis on the concept of sound, and less on the groove and dance-ability of common club tracks.
